C2G AI Mini Arm Lab 1: Intro to Code2Grow
AI Mini Arm Lab 1: Actuate the Arm
Jumping into our first AI lab, we will need to first learn how to move our little arm. This arm is comprised of three servos that all need to move indepently to create a cohesive move like move left and grab. Each servo has a range from 0 to 180 degrees. Servos are very accurate motors, therefore everytime we tell the servo to move 45 degrees the servo will accurately move to that possition. Once done we will be able to move the arm in intricate ways to pick up materials, let go, move right and left.
For AI to work the main part of it is its software. The software created takes in information and does millions of calcualtions on it to understand it and bring out a result. We will use AI to command our arm to do different actions but we first need to calibrate our servos.

Activity
Students will learn about servos and the angles needed to move them.
Students will be able to combine the motions of the sensors and make them into a cohesive move.
Assessment
Students will be able to combine the movements of the servos and solve different problems with them.
Students will be able to breakdown intricate parts of each move to be able to control the arm.
